I work with words, stories and the spaces in which they are encountered.<\/span><\/p>

My practice moves between writing, education, publishing and digital content, with a particular interest in how stories are created, shaped, communicated and experienced. I am drawn to the places where language meets imagination, where a story becomes more than text, and where the way something is presented can change how it is understood.<\/span><\/p>

As a writer, I work across children’s and adult fiction, often returning to the quieter territories of worry, wonder, memory, belonging and the things that remain difficult to name. I am interested in the emotional and imaginative life beneath ordinary experience: the moment when an object begins to carry a memory, when a familiar place becomes strange, or when a child’s way of seeing reveals something an adult has learned not to notice.<\/span><\/p>

Alongside my creative practice, I work with content and communication in education and publishing-related environments. My experience includes developing written and digital content, managing websites and content systems, supporting editorial projects, creating learning resources, proofreading and copy editing, working with SEO and social media, and coordinating projects with different audiences and stakeholders. I am particularly interested in the relationship between content and audience: how words, images, platforms and presentation work together to make an idea visible, accessible and meaningful.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The Educator<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Education has remained an important part of this work. In London primary schools, I have worked closely with children and young people, including those who experience and communicate the world in different ways. Before this, I worked within school libraries, developing reading and literacy projects, collaborating with organisations, organising book fairs and creating spaces in which children could encounter stories on their own terms. I also design and facilitate creative writing activities for young people, exploring how imagination and language can become ways of making sense of experience.<\/span><\/p>

I hold an MA in Creative Writing and Education from Goldsmiths, University of London. My work is shaped by an interest in the relationship between writing, identity, education and human connection, and in how stories can give form to experiences that are difficult to express, understand or share.<\/span><\/p>

My academic and creative work has led me towards questions surrounding storytelling, publishing, representation and the relationship between text, image, object and audience. I am particularly interested in the ways stories travel beyond the page, through visual culture, material forms, educational spaces, digital platforms and the imaginative worlds readers create around them.<\/span><\/p>

For me, writing is therefore not only about producing stories. It is also about paying attention to how stories live, how they are shaped, circulated, encountered and remembered.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

I grew up in Iran, where poetry is not something you study; it\u2019s something you breathe. Stories lived in the air, threaded through memory, family, and the rhythm of ordinary days. Studying Persian Language and Literature for my BA deepened that early sense of story, teaching me how metaphor carries weight, how a single image can hold several truths, and how language moves like music when it\u2019s allowed to.
Living between cultures and languages shaped the way I see the world. It taught me that identity is fluid, shifting between what we inherit and what we create. That duality settles quietly beneath everything I write, in the metaphors I reach for, the emotional layers I build, and the way my sentences lean toward both clarity and dream.
My work carries echoes from both landscapes: the storytelling traditions of my Iranian childhood and the London classrooms where I now listen, learn, and write.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

My path into writing began before I had the words for it. As a child, books were more than objects; they were windows, mirrors, and sometimes escape routes. I grew up gathering stories the way other children gathered stones, carrying them across countries and languages when I moved to London. That shift from one world to another deepened my fascination with identity and the stories we tell to understand ourselves.
During my MA at Goldsmiths, I realised that storytelling and education were not two separate threads in my life but one woven cord. I saw how narrative helps children express what sits just beneath their speech, how imagination offers shape to feelings, and how confidence grows when a child realises their thoughts can become stories.
Working closely with children has profoundly changed my creative practice. Their sensitivities, their patterns, their sudden, startling insights taught me a new way of listening. They sharpened my sense of emotional truth, the quiet kind that reveals itself slowly and honestly. That influence is threaded through both my children\u2019s writing and my adult fiction.
My path is still unfolding, but each stage- Iran, London, literature, libraries, classrooms, workshops- has become part of the tapestry I write from today. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

I write in ink before anything else; notebooks give me space to wander. I read widely, from children\u2019s books and folklore to philosophy and literary fiction, following whatever carries emotional truth.
Ideas arrive unexpectedly: a whispered comment at a classroom table, a misplaced object, a moment of stillness, a memory surfacing without reason.
